Love in a Basket: Demonstrating Christ’s Love to Little Hearts
On December 14, 2025, the love of Christ was joyfully shared at Charis Home, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, as Love in a Basket reached many precious children with gift packs filled with their basic necessities. More than a simple distribution, it was a divine appointment—an expression of God’s care and compassion for His little ones. This meaningful outreach was led by Pastor Joel Franco, together with the Oasis for Life volunteers, who served with willing hearts and joyful spirits.
During the activity, the children enjoyed simple games and a time of storytelling. One story shared was about the little star that showed the way. The lesson was simple yet meaningful: the star was happy because it used its light to guide the Wise Men to Jesus. Through this story, the children were reminded that even small acts of kindness and obedience can be used by God to help others find Him.
Though simple in form, the activity overflowed with laughter, gratitude, and the unmistakable presence of God. Smiles lit up the children’s faces, reminding us that when love is given in Jesus’ name, it brings hope and joy. This moment became a living testimony that obedience to God’s call—to love, to give, and to serve—can touch lives far beyond what we imagine.
We lift our hearts in thanksgiving to the Lord for every person He used to make this outreach possible, especially our brothers and sisters in the United States, whose hearts were stirred by God to extend His love across nations. Through their generosity, these children felt the warmth of Christmas and the assurance that they are deeply loved by God.
We speak God’s abundant blessings over all who gave, served, and prayed. May the Lord continue to pour out His grace upon you and strengthen your hands for every good work.
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9)
