Please save the date for the 2026 National Border Patrol Council Local 2455 Union Banquet! The Union Banquet will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 in Laredo, Texas.

This event is open to Local 2455 Union Members and their plus one.

During our visit, we proudly represented the hardworking men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol and highlighted the dedication and commitment displayed by our workforce every single day.

Today, NBPC Local 2455 leadership had the opportunity to meet with Border Czar Tom Homan during his visit to the Laredo Sector.

While visiting one of our Border Patrol stations, Mr. Homan took the time to personally thank the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol for their unwavering dedication and professionalism. Mr. Homan recognized the tremendous work being done by the USBP workforce and credited them for having the most secure border in our nation’s history.

We appreciate Mr. Homan taking the time to visit our workforce, hear directly from those on the front lines, and acknowledge the commitment and hard work of the agents who protect our nation’s borders every day.

SECURE AMERICA ACT

Earlier today, President Donald J. Trump signed the Secure America Act into law. The legislation fully funds the U.S. Border Patrol and ICE through Fiscal Year 2029 and provides the critical resources necessary to continue securing our nation's borders and enforcing our immigration laws.

As many of you know, the US House of Representatives passed the Secure America Act after the Senate approved the legislation the week before. With the President's signature, the bill has now officially become law.

The combination of the Secure America Act and the One Big Beautiful Bill provides long-term funding stability for Border Patrol and ICE. Most importantly, it ensures that agents and professional staff can expect steady and consistent paychecks through FY2029, with no threat of a government or agency shutdown impacting pay and operations.

The National Border Patrol Council strongly supported this legislation and appreciates the efforts of those who worked to secure its passage. The funding and resources provided by this law will help strengthen our workforce and support the mission for years to come.

The US House of Representatives has now passed the Secure America Act, legislation that fully funds the U.S. Border Patrol and ICE through Fiscal Year 2029. The Senate approved the bill last week, and it now heads to President Donald Trump, who is expected to sign it into law.

Combined with the One Big Beautiful Bill, this legislation provides long-term funding stability for our agency and workforce. Most importantly, it ensures that Border Patrol agents, ICE personnel, and support staff can count on steady and consistent paychecks through FY2029, without the recurring threat of government or agency shutdowns.

We appreciate the lawmakers who supported this legislation and helped secure the resources necessary to continue our mission of safeguarding the United States.

Thank you Senate Republicans for passing the Budget Reconciliation Bill last week that will give Border Patrol and ICE stable funding for the next three years. The border cannot continue to be secured without funding, and we are already 8 months into the fiscal year with no prospect that the Democrats were willing to compromise.

It is regrettable it came to this, but we appreciate the Senators who did the right thing by voting for this legislation.

Next comes the House, and we urge all House Members to vote for the bill. Let’s get this on the President’s desk as soon as possible! - NBPC
