Therefore, visitors should refrain from posting any private or personally identifiable information. uld like us to contact you privately and we will follow up with you by email or telephone. Postings on WFS South Texas social media channels that include sensitive personal information are subject to removal. Moderation Policy
The posts and comments on all WFS South Texas social media channels will be monitored and moderated regularly. A posting or comment may be removed from a WFS South Texas social media channel if it:
• Is off-subject or out of context
• Contains obscenity
• Contains sensitive personal information
• Contains offensive terms that target protected classes
• Is threatening, harassing, or discriminatory
• Includes or promotes violence or illegal activities
• Contains information that could reasonably be construed to compromise public safety
• Advertises or promotes a commercial product, service, or any entity or individual
• Promotes or endorses political campaigns or candidates
WFS South Texas employees who monitor and moderate content on social media channels are not required to provide an explanation for removing content but may choose to do so. Public Information and Record Retention
WFS South Texas social media channels may contain communications sent to or received by state employees, and such communications are therefore public records subject to State Records Retention requirements. These retention requirements apply regardless of the form of the record (digital text, photos, audio, or video, for example). To the extent that the third-party records retention policies are inconsistent with the Texas State Record Retention Schedule, WFS South Texas will put forth reasonable efforts to archive copies of social media content in order to meet State records retention obligations. Links from websites or social media channels affiliated with WFS South Texas to any other websites do not constitute or imply WFS South Texas's endorsement of those sites, their content, or products or services associated with those sites. Although social media tools are not clearly defined as state websites, individuals linking to or from WFS South Texas-related social media channels are strongly encouraged to adhere to 1 TAC §206.73 and SRRPUB11 from the Texas Department of Information Resources when constructing those links.
