Bella Strong Bella was an extremely tender and compassionate little girl with a heart full of love for others.

A top-rated 501c(3) in the Nation & a leader in the fight against cancer that provides financial assistance & uplifts the spirits of families whose children are battling cancer & blood disorders in Laredo, TX., Webb County & surrounding areas. Bella was diagnosed with pediatric cancer when she was 7 months old and gained her angel wings at 2 years old on April 9, 2019.

Congratulations to the entire Food Bank team on 43 years of serving our community!

💙 Happy Boss’s Day to our Co-Founders, Ray and Betsy Sanchez!

Their hearts have always been in the same place, with Bella and the children and families they are blessed to serve.

What started as a way to honor their little girl has become a beautiful journey of faith and helping others through some of their hardest days.

They don’t have all the answers, but they continue to trust God, lead with their hearts, and do their best to make a difference.

💙 A huge THANK YOU to Mary Help of Christians School Laredo, Texas for all the love and support!

Their National Honor Society hosted a snack drive for our kids, and their volleyball team donated proceeds from their game, which were generously matched by Mr. and Mrs. Averill, bringing the total to $2,970!

We are truly blessed to have a community that continues to support our mission of making sure no child misses their life-saving cancer treatment!

Blessed to be here together! I’m continuing to learn and grow alongside some amazing Aspen Fellows at Leadership Tulsa , while Betsy attends the Aspen Ideas Economy Festival, focused on creating economic opportunities and stronger communities.

God continues to open doors, and we’re grateful for these opportunities to grow and bring something meaningful back home to Laredo and the families we serve!

Another great day of learning, sharing experiences, and connecting with some amazing leaders from across the country. We all come from different communities, but share the same passion for making a difference.

Had the pleasure of spending some time with Peggy Clark, Executive Director of Aspen Global Innovators Group. Her passion for supporting leaders who are making a difference in their communities is truly inspiring.

I’m incredibly grateful to the Aspen Institute for this opportunity and for investing in leaders like us.

Our kids had a blast making spooky pancakes, decorating pumpkin buckets, playing games, and watching Halloweentown!

💚 While many were enjoying their long weekend, this amazing group of individuals chose to spend their Saturday morning giving back!

A big THANK YOU to Webb County 4-H, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension - Webb County, and everyone who came together to support our mission and the families we serve.

4-H teaches the importance of using our heads, hearts, hands, and health to make a difference, and today they put those values into action!

We know everyone has busy schedules, so when people choose to give their time to help others, it means a lot to us.
