🛒💙 A little shopping trip turned into an even bigger surprise!

We were so grateful to be invited to H-E-B’s Fill the Basket event, where families from four of our CIS schools were given the opportunity to shop for their households. Six families from one of our middle schools and three families from each of our three elementary schools received $100 to shop at H-E-B.

But H-E-B had a surprise waiting for them! 🎉 Instead of $100, each family was gifted $250 to fill their baskets with the groceries and essentials they needed.

We are incredibly thankful to H-E-B for their generosity and for making this experience so special for our families. Your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and their families. ❤️

We are so grateful to have two amazing students, who led a supply drive for CIS students, provide opportunities for their fellow peers to come to school prepared to learn! 🌟

This year’s School Supply Drive was made possible through the initiative and leadership of STUCO Officer Emma Marroquin, who came up with the idea, and STUCO member Alfie Vasquez, who helped lead the collection drive.

We’re proud of Emma and Alfie for seeing a need, taking action, and giving back to our school community. That’s Mustang leadership in action! 💚💛

Their Site Coordinator held a jean pop-up event last Tuesday, where jeans of all sizes and styles were available for students to view and take home! We hope they found a pair that matches their style while also supporting them during the back to school season ✨
