Anssi Mikola is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of RiverRecycle . River Recycle is developing a concept to turn the ocean plastic eco catastrophe into a sustainable business. River Recycle's technology enables the collection of plastic waste from rivers in developing countries where the lack of sufficient waste handling systems is causing massive amounts of waste ending up in rivers and finally in the oceans. The waste is subsequently either recycled or incinerated to produce energy.

Riikka Ikäheimo is the CEO at Riikka Couture, Entrepreneur and Public Speaker. She will be attending our Entrepreneurship Session 3pm (CDT) to tell us about her brand Riikka Couture and sustainable fashion. After that we will launch the competition.
Riikka Couture was founded in Paris from the passion to create something beautiful and elegant. The company began in a one-bedroom apartment with a small piece of lace fabric, and now it has become a strong, elegant and remarkable fashion brand.
Each dress has been handmade in Finland with happiness and love. We use only the finest of fabrics that are easy to take care of and combine them with Parisian lace and Swarovski crystals. Our designs are meant to last and look great on all occasions that life will bring you.

Founder Riikka Ikäheimo is a self-taught clothing designer who began her career after having visions of gowns in her dreams. She developed her skills by turning old fabrics from the flea market into stunning dresses. As she continued to create, her career progressed, finally leading her to Paris to find herself. The city of love soon taught her that one can not be found, but rather must be created. This marked the true beginning for Riikka Couture.The designer creates from passion, gets inspired by kindness, and hopes to spread happiness with her dresses.

We are honored to have Ms. Sara Abi Villanueva as one of our panelists for the Education session! Going on 15 years, Sara Abi Villanueva has taught English, language arts, and reading at the middle and high school level in the border town of Laredo (Texas). She earned a Master in Science in special education with a concentration in reading this past December from Texas A&M University in Laredo, Texas. She currently serves as an assistant editor for the International Education Inquiries, a series dedicated to realizing the global vision of The United Nations (2015) Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and as a guest assistant editor for the Journal of Multicultural Affairs. Areas of research consist of twice-exceptional students, equitable literacy education, and global citizenship education. She will be starting her doctoral pursuit in Curriculum and Instruction: Language, Diversity, and Literacy Studies this coming fall.
