After covering our meeting agenda and skill practice, our Scouts laced up their boots for a mini-hike through Camp Huisache! 🍃 It was the perfect chance to practice trail safety, observe local wildlife, and get some good steps in while enjoying the crisp outdoor air together.

Nothing beats getting out into nature right in our own backyard!

🎳 This Is How Troop 84 Rolls! 🎳

Who says Scouts only stay in the woods? Troop 84 traded in the compasses and flashlights for neon lights and bowling balls!

We spent an evening last week knocking down pins (and occasionally bowling down the wrong lane Ha ha !!😅).

It was a strike-ing success and the perfect way to unwind after all our recent community service and ongoing T84 projects!

Scouts from Troop 84 were honored to be invited to participate in the “¡Qué Perrón!” Pet Adoption & Halloween Event!

Our Scouts jumped in to assist with event activities and handed out Halloween treats to all the boys and girls in our community. We had a blast supporting pet adoption efforts and spreading festive Halloween joy!

Community Project Announcement:

Troop 84 Partners with Best Friends for Life Animal Society!

Troop 84 has been officially invited to partner with Best Friends for Life Animal Society to design and build a new chicken coop for their animals!

This hands-on service project gives our Scouts a fantastic opportunity to put their woodworking skills to work for a great local cause.

Safety First: Power Tool Workshop in Progress for a couple of sessions.

To make sure every Scout is fully prepared, confident, and safe on the job site, Troop 84 immediately kicked off an intensive Power Tool Safety & Operations Training.

Our Scouts are eager to gear up, apply their training, and make a lasting impact for Best Friends for Life! Stay tuned for updates and photos as construction begins! Coming soon!

Today, our Scouts (Boys & Girls!) took on an essential skill for our upcoming camping outings: Dutch oven cooking!

T84 started with Fire Safety & Fire Starters: We kicked off the day with a essential lesson on fire safety, followed by a step-by-step how-to on crafting reliable homemade fire starters.

There’s a real science to managing outdoor charcoal and heat, but our team nailed it on the trail-style coals. Today's delicious outdoor menu featured:

• 🐒 Crazy Monkey Bread: Sweet, yummy, and cooked to perfection!

• 🌽 Yellow Corncake: Perfectly baked with that ideal golden crust.

In addition to cooking up a total sucess, the Scouts jumped into a variety of other fun team activities and outdoor games to round out an awesome day together!

Mastering outdoor culinary skills is just another way Troop 84 prepares the next generation of leaders (and great campsite cooks!). Excellent job to everyone who participated today!

Troop 84 (Boys & Girls Troop) was proud to participate in the 5th Annual Memorial Walk in honor of Congressional Gold Medal Recipient Marine LCPL. David Lee Espinoza.

Together, our Scouts are standing in unity with our community to remember and pay tribute to a local hero whose bravery, service, and ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten.
