Social media is hard and brings about lots of anxiety in me. But you know what’s not? Volunteering my time to help the community know the power of music and the unique gifts of the horn.
A couple weeks ago, I taught an enthusiastic student from the El Sistema program in Denver a free introductory lesson on the horn. This past Monday, I volunteered my time in UW’s brass methods class to better equip our future music educators with the tools for decoding the secrets of the horn and unlocking its expressive power. After spring break, I will be teaching young composers about writing music for the horn.
These are just a few examples of all the things I and my colleagues do on a regular basis (often without pay). Your donations help me to continue to be able to reach young music performers and enthusiasts. Donate $5 (or more of course) here:
