🚨 APPLICATIONS CLOSE MAY 22ND!!!🚨
Wyoming Boys’ State gives high school juniors entering their senior year a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn leadership, citizenship, government, and public service through hands-on experience.
At Boys’ State, delegates:
🏛️ Build and run a mock city
They elect a mayor and city council, create city laws, debate local issues, and learn how local government works.
⚖️ Participate in the Courts
Delegates take part in civil and criminal trials as attorneys, jurors, and witnesses.
📜 Serve in the Legislature
Delegates join the Wyoming House of Representatives or Wyoming Senate, elect leadership, and write, amend, debate, and pass mock legislation.
🗳️ Run for public office
Delegates campaign for positions such as Governor, State Senator, County Sheriff, and many others.
🤝 Shadow real public officials
Elected delegates spend a full day with the public official connected to their office. Appointed delegates may serve in roles such as Adjutant General, Director of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Supreme Court Justice, and more.
Delegates also participate in team-building activities, hear from leaders across Wyoming, receive guidance from civil servants, and gain a deeper understanding of how Wyoming government works.
