The work of children's mental health is mostly quiet.

It's a session that ends with a kid laughing for the first time in months. A parent learning a new way to ask, "are you okay?" A young person at Cathedral Home discovering that someone is in their corner — and will keep being there tomorrow, and the week after.

This Children's Mental Health Awareness Day, we're not marking a milestone. We're honoring the ordinary, daily, unglamorous wins that add up to a young life finding steadier ground.
