Happy Thanksgiving from the Wanna Ride Foundation! 🦃🍂

This Thanksgiving, we're counting our blessings - and trust us, the list is longer than our scavenger hunt mission sheets!

We're grateful for:

Happy Heavenly Birthday, LaWanna! 🎂💜

Today my beautiful sister celebrates her birthday in heaven, and honestly? My heart aches that I can't call her and hear that incredible laugh one more time.

But LaWanna wouldn't want tears today – she'd want us remembering the joy she brought to this world! She had this magical gift of turning ordinary moments into adventures and strangers into lifelong friends. That laugh of hers? Contagious as a yawn in a meeting, but way more fun! Whether tending her beloved Star Valley gardens or hitting the mountain trails, she knew how to LIVE with her heart wide open.

The Wanna Ride Foundation continues her legacy every single day. Every trail we maintain, every student we support, every ride we take – it's all because she taught us what really matters: love big, laugh loud, and never miss a chance for adventure.

We're still making memories in your honor, sis, and you'd be so proud! 🏔️💙

We're officially launching the WANNA RIDE SCHOLARSHIP - and this one's going to be different!

After years of supporting students through other organizations, we've decided to go completely independent so we can build REAL relationships with the incredible students we support. No more bureaucratic systems, no more form letters - just genuine people who want to cheer you on every step of the way.
What makes our scholarship special:

✅ YOUR choice, YOUR path - University, community college, trade school - we support whatever dream you're chasing!
✅ Personalized awards - We don't believe in one-size-fits-all amounts. Your award is tailored to YOUR specific needs and situation
✅ High school juniors can apply (if accepted to their program)

🙌 TO EVERY SINGLE VOLUNTEER 🙌

THE HEART AND SOUL OF OUR SUCCESS!

September 13th was absolutely incredible, and it happened because of YOU - our amazing volunteers who gave their time, energy, and hearts to make our Memorial Ride & Scavenger Hunt unforgettable!

From registration and setup to cleanup and everything in between, from selling tickets and running auctions to moving tables and solving problems we didn't even know we had - you made it all possible.

Some of you came from near, some from far. Some of you worked behind the scenes, some of you were front and center. Some of you volunteered for months in advance, some of you jumped in on event day. ALL of you were absolutely essential.

You helped us raise a record-breaking $9,419 for student scholarships and trail maintenance, but more than that - you helped create a day filled with laughter, community, and the kind of memories that last forever.

Events like this simply DO NOT HAPPEN without volunteers. Every single task, big or small, that you took on made a difference. Every smile you shared, every problem you solved, every extra mile you went - it all mattered.

To every volunteer who made September 13th magical: THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. You are the reason we can continue honoring my sister's memory while supporting students and protecting our trails.

Look at these AMAZING first-timers holding their well-deserved trophy! For being brand new to our competition and absolutely CRUSHING IT, The Newbies in Town take home the coveted "Fresh Meat" award!

They proved that sometimes the best adventures come from jumping in with both feet and showing everyone how it's done! Way to make your mark, newcomers!

Sometimes the trails have OTHER plans for you! Adventure Jason's team got lost AND broke down during their adventure - but the spirit of this community shines through because some of the team made it back and still got to enjoy the live auction!

That's the true Wanna Ride spirit - when things go sideways, you roll with it and still find a way to support the cause!

Both of these awards represent what makes our community so special - welcoming newcomers with open arms and supporting each other through whatever adventures (or misadventures) the trails throw our way!
