Today while Lapwai Fire was in Culdesac for SheBang days we noticed that the flag at a residence where we lined up for the parade was very weathered and in need of replacing so after the parade we went back to the residence and gave them one of our flags we had to replace there flag. In the photo is Chief Skiles Assistant Chief Smith and Captain Holt. Not pictured is lieutenant Bomar. And safety officer Bradley.

Today at 1:30 PM Lapwai Fire with the help of Nez. Perce Trible fire responded to a fire off of Clearwater court. In Lapwai. No injuries reported no structures damaged. Lapwai responded with 3 engines and a tender. Lapwai was on site for about 21/2 hours.

At 10:40pm last night your local Fire Department was alerted to a fire at a residence off of Webb Rd.

We at Lapwai Fire want to remind everyone that there is no open burning from May 10th through October 20th.

As a reminder it’s very dry out and people need to be aware of the hazards that are there because of the dry conditions.

As we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July we here at Lapwai Fire want everyone to enjoy the celebrations but please be careful of the dry weather.
