If you or your family need grocery assistance, come by and let us help take a little off your plate. A small amount of paperwork is needed on your first visit only. We’re here with no barriers and no judgment.

Good morning, LaPorte! Wednesday is a busy day at The Pax Center, and you’re welcome to stop by.

The Food Pantry is open today from 12:00–1:30 PM. If you or someone you know could use a little help, let us help take something off your plate. No barriers. No judgment.

Our Community Meal will be served tonight from 5:00–6:00 PM. Come join us for a warm meal and welcoming community!

We are deeply saddened to share that one of our dedicated volunteers, Josh Kuhn, has passed away unexpectedly.

If you’ve been to The Pax Center Food Pantry on a Saturday, chances are you met Josh. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and service he gave to helping keep LaPorte County well-fed and well-loved.

Please keep Josh’s friends and family in your prayers as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

For the last several years, Baltes Farms (Bernie, Jeff & Joe) have generously donated sweet corn for the community gardens. So far this year, 5 truckloads, typically 10-12 throughout the season, have been donated.

Joe Janas & Ben Mannix have volunteered to help with the picking and delivering to Jackson Street Garden and The Brighton Street Green Space.

LaPorte County, look what your generosity and support helped make possible in July!

The Pax Center food pantry served 852 individuals across 285 households: a 23% increase from June. We had 1,489 individuals served between our food pantry and community meals.

Behind every number is a neighbor, a household, and a community that continues to show up for one another. Thank you to everyone who gives, volunteers, shares our work, and helps keep LaPorte County well-fed and well-loved.
