The Rebel Pavilion Non-profit In 2015 The Rebel Pavilion was built near the 4-H Horse & Pony barns at the La Porte County Fairgrounds.

The Rebel Pavilion honors happy memories of our beloved daughter, Hanna Helen Ohlund, who we lost in a tragic accident in August 2013, & her "best pony in the world", Rebel. The La Porte County 4-H Horse & Pony Facility has become a passion for us. Our family has been involved in the La Porte County 4-H Horse & Pony Club for over 45 years. The La Porte County Fair is officially our family's favorite week of the summer! Honoring Hanna & her pony, Rebel, with these projects help bring joy to our heartbreaking loss. While the Rebel Pavilion is a lasting reminder of the happy memories we made with Hanna & Rebel, it is our hope that this facility will bring families together to make their own lasting memories for years to come.

Due to the current conditions of the arena and the forecasted rain over the weekend we have decided to cancel the show scheduled for September 19 & 20, 2026. We are planning to reschedule in the Spring, potential May 22 & 23, 2027. We have had a lot of interest in this show and want to thank you all for your support. Stay Dry!🌧🐴🥲

Overnight camping is allowing in the infield parking lot near the horse arena if you are on a generator. No electrical hookups in that area. If you would like electrical & water hookup, contact Kurt Morrison at 219-575-2089 for a spot in the fairground camping area.
