Class 43 is off to the races! 🚌 💨

From our September Opening Retreat at Red Mill County Park to October’s Rural Bus Tour departing from Mill Pond Park, we've had beautiful weather, great conversations, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of La Porte County pride!

We've explored our local history with County Historian Bruce Johnson and La Porte County Historical Society Museum Director Danielle Adams, discovered why Kingsford Heights is coined “Victory City,” visited Door Village - the oldest settled area in LP County, and even learned how to get across the County without a map! And somewhere near an infamous bridge in southern LP County, a certain green celebrity helped bring a little local lore to life. 🐸📍

One thing is certainly clear: This cohort is as dynamic, talented, and full of character as LP County itself. And thanks to Real Colors®, we're already learning what makes each other tick! ⭐️🔶💙🟢

Two months in, and Class 43 is already proving that LP County's greatest strength is its people. And the best is yet to come! ✨

La Porte County leadership was WELL represented last night! 🙌

Congratulations to Lisa Human with CLH, CPAs & Consultants and Jocelyn Caton with Michigan City Police Department on winning their respective categories at the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association Awards Banquet!

And an equally proud shoutout to our Leadership La Porte County alumni who were recognized as finalists. Different industries, roles, and ways of serving...but one thing in common: THEY LEAD! 💪

We are so proud of these ladies and thrilled to see La Porte County leadership recognized across Northwest Indiana! 🦸‍♀️💜

🧡💚 Class 43 has officially entered the chat! 💛💙

Last Thursday, Leadership La Porte County alumni and members of Class 43 came together at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum for our quarterly Alumni Link Up: Meet & Greet!

The evening included plenty of conversation, new connections, and a Leadership La Porte County-themed scavenger hunt that had everyone exploring the museum, learning a little more about La Porte County, and getting to know each other along the way.

A huge thank you to Museum Director Danielle Adams and County Historian Bruce Johnson (both proud LeadLPC alumni) for hosting us and making the evening so much fun! And yes... Kermit made an appearance! Those who know, know. 🐸😄

Save the date for our next quarterly Alumni Link Up: Rise & Lead - December 10 from 7–9 a.m. at the La Porte County Fairgrounds and Event Center!🤝📆

La Porte County has had a rough few days. Again.

Frustration is loud. But so are the people who simply rolled up their sleeves and got to work. WE SEE THEM. 💪👀

There is a tremendous amount of work happening right now that most of us will never see. To everyone working, helping, coordinating, responding, restoring, cleaning up, sharing, checking in, and showing patience & grace:

✨THANK YOU!✨

That's leadership. And there is a whole lot of it happening across La Porte County & NWI right now. 💖

🌟 LLCY 2026 Summer Camp Recap 🌟

Last week, we wrapped up another unforgettable LLCY Summer Camp, and WOW what an incredible week with an even more incredible group of students!
We have so many people to thank for making this camp possible:

💙 Thank you to the Health Foundation of La Porte for your generous grant support, which helps make our youth programs thrive.

🌳 Thank you to LaPorte County Parks for providing the beautiful Novak Shelter at CreekRidge County Park and the Shagbark Shelter at Luhr County Park.

🏫 Thank you to the schools across La Porte County for nominating such exceptional students, and to the parents who encouraged and supported their participation.

🙌 A HUGE shoutout to our phenomenal volunteers and board members! There are too many of you to name, but every one of you made a lasting impact. Your time, wisdom, and encouragement helped create an unforgettable week. We truly couldn't have done it without you!

⭐ And most of all, thank you to our students for showing up, stepping up, and shining bright. You embraced every activity, supported one another, and demonstrated incredible leadership growth throughout the week. We watched new friendships form, confidence grow, and your potential come to life. You are the future, and your future is bright!

Here's to another year of learning, leading, growing together, and making a difference.

🥳 It's Delaney's Day! 🎉

Join us in wishing our incredible Youth Coordinator the happiest of birthdays! Her positivity, kindness, and contagious smile make a difference in the lives of so many students, and we're grateful for everything she brings to our Leadership family.

We may have gotten a little carried away with the birthday editing... but we think she's worth it. ✨

🎂 Happy Birthday, Delaney! 💙
