Hello all,
First, mark your calendars for 2026. The festival is scheduled for May 29-30. Friday night music was a success so it will be back again next year!
Over the past six years, we have had items donated and purchased for the festival -- tents, tables, coolers, and smaller items such as signage, office supplies and other necessary items to make the festival successful. These items take up space. So far, this storage space has been donated, but it has been spread out over 3 locations.
It is time that these items have their own space. A space that will also accommodate some of the new items donated, as we are working on creating a durable medical equipment closet which will be available to the community for use.
To that end, we plan to build a shed. Linda Sawyers has donated space outside of her fenced yard, for easy access by the Laporte Festival Team, and Wolf roofing is donating the roofing materials. An amazing local handy woman has agreed to build it.
Before we spend money on construction materials, the suggestion was made to put it out on Facebook, as many people have items that are just laying left around from other projects. Please see the list below.
If you have any of these items or would like to contribute financially, please let us know.
Both cash and in-kind or cash donations are tax deductible.
For in-kind donations, please send us an email with the fair market value of the item(s). We will send you a donation receipt.
The festival is becoming something that our community enjoys. We hope it continues for years to come with the generous support of Greyrock Landscaping, the Collins's, and our diverse community.
