We are excited to bring our community together for the River Parishes Disaster Resilience & Needs Assessment Community Engagement Event on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM–2:00 PM at Destiny Christian Center, 612 Main St., LaPlace, LA 70068.

This important community initiative is made possible through a powerful partnership among Destiny Christian Center, Dr. Nyoki Cosey-Brown Counseling, Community Celebration Network, Tulane University CEDR, and Blackflamegourmetgrill .

Together, we are creating a space where residents can share their experiences, voice their needs, connect with resources, and help shape stronger and more resilient River Parish communities.

💬 Facilitated community engagement conversations

Our goal is simple: listen, connect, identify needs, and build stronger pathways to support and recovery.

This event is especially focused on residents and communities across St. John the Baptist, St. James, and St. Charles Parishes, along with community organizations, faith leaders, service providers, and advocates.

🙌✝️ Teaming up for a purpose bigger than ourselves! 🙌

This past Saturday, Destiny Christian Center and Community Celebration Network (a nonprofit ministry of Destiny Christian Center) came together as ONE to visit Twin Oaks Nursing Home. 💛

Alongside Steve Allen and our amazing team, we had the honor of sharing the love of God with the residents, bringing smiles, warm conversation, and a reminder that they are seen, valued, and loved. 🧓💕

This is what teamwork for God looks like! 🤝✨ When the Church steps out into the community, hearts are touched and lives are changed, one visit, one hug, one prayer at a time. 🙏
Grateful for every hand that made this outreach possible. Let’s keep shining His light together! 🌟

Community Celebration Network was on the move this weekend! 🚌✨

We had an amazing time participating in our church, Destiny Christian Center, for their Diving Into Destiny Fellowship! 🙌 It was such a blessing, and we warmly welcome new members to come join this incredible organization, CCN, as we continue building community and supporting one another! 🤝

We also had a blast participating in the amazing Legends Fest! 🎊 What a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together as one community, lifting each other up and celebrating side by side. 💪

We’re so grateful for weekends like this and we can’t wait for what’s next! Stay tuned for more events as we keep working together, growing together, and celebrating together! 🎉✨
