We are excited to bring our community together for the River Parishes Disaster Resilience & Needs Assessment Community Engagement Event on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:00 PMβ2:00 PM at Destiny Christian Center, 612 Main St., LaPlace, LA 70068.
This important community initiative is made possible through a powerful partnership among Destiny Christian Center, Dr. Nyoki Cosey-Brown Counseling, Community Celebration Network, Tulane University CEDR, and Blackflamegourmetgrill .
Together, we are creating a space where residents can share their experiences, voice their needs, connect with resources, and help shape stronger and more resilient River Parish communities.

This event is especially focused on residents and communities across St. John the Baptist, St. James, and St. Charles Parishes, along with community organizations, faith leaders, service providers, and advocates.
