This was one of those days that reminded us why experiences matter.

For some of our boys, getting on a horse was completely new. Some were nervous, some weren’t sure about it, but they pushed through and gave it a shot. By the end of the day, they were riding, laughing, and having a good time. 😂

And the funniest part? A few of them left talking about joining a riders club. That’s growth right there. Sometimes you just need somebody to give you the opportunity to try something different.

Big thank you to Overton Estate Larry Overton for welcoming Rooted Ones to Overton Estates and making this experience possible. We appreciate you opening your doors and pouring into our young men.

Due to inclement weather, ⏰ Rooted Ones: Miles For Mentorship at LaSalle Park (6600 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA) has been postponed.

The safety of our participants, volunteers, and community is our top priority. We are currently working to secure a new date and will notify all participants ASAP with updated details.
