Please note that the Lapel Food Pantry hours will be different the next two weeks.
For the weekend of The Fourth of July:

We will only be open on Friday July 3rd from 9-11 am. Closed on Fourth.

For Village Fair weekend:

We will only be open on Friday July 10th from 9-11 am. Closed Saturday 7/11.

We wish everyone a safe and Happy 4th of July and hope you are able to also enjoy Lapel’s Village Fair and 150th Birthday Celebrations!!

Reminder! This coming Friday and Saturday is a “5th weekend” of May.

The Food Pantry will be closed.

Apparently there are a couple of rumors going around regarding our food pantry.

I am posting to set the records straight!

First, The Lapel Community Food Pantry is alive and well! Apparently, someone from Second Harvest (mistakenly) heard
that we had closed. Absolutely FALSE!!

Secondly, there is a list of pantries in Madison County, floating around that states our hours as being 9am-12pm.
Our hours were revised after the COVID restrictions were lifted. They have been Fridays & Saturdays 9-11am ever since we could invite folks back inside.

We did, however, return to our “once a month” schedule at the start of 2026.

Long story short: If you hear something “new” about the pantry and it raises questions, please don’t hesitate to call me at the Ford Street Church office: 765-534-3314 Tues thru Fri 9am-1pm.

Many, many thanks to all our faithful supporters who so generously support our mission. We invite anyone in our community, experiencing food insecurity, to come and let us help you ease that worry. Total No Judgement Zone!!

The Lapel Food Pantry will not be open this weekend. It is a “fifth” weekend of the month. If you have an emergency need, please call me at the Ford Street Chirch office tomorrow (Friday) at 765-534-3314, 9am-Noon.

We have 13 gallons of milk at food pantry and a freezer full of meat products, eggs, cheese and shelves full of good, nutritious choices!

Open 9-11 am tomorrow (Saturday)!

The monthly “Rolling Pantry” that comes once a month to Lions Club, is cancelled due to impending severe weather.

The food pantry at 1321 Main will be open tomorrow from 9-11 am!

What a blessed morning we had! Forty-one families will have a full table for their Christmas gatherings. In partnership with the Lapel Lions Club, the pantry distributed hams and overflowing boxes of food items, to forty-one households.
Many thanks to this generous community that responded to the various food drives last month. Our clients had a wide variety of items to choose from!

We wish everyone a most blessed Christmas and thanks again for blessing so many others with your generosity!
