We're grateful to our partners at CEDAM: The Community Economic Development Association of Michigan for highlighting the work of LEAF 360! and helping share this story beyond our community.

What makes LEAF 360! special isn't just the program itself—it's the people behind it. At its heart, LEAF 360! is about community. It's about schools, healthcare providers, nonprofits, local leaders, and families coming together to support the whole child and create brighter futures.

This work is a reminder of what's possible when a community collaborates, listens, and invests in its future. We believe something truly special is happening here in Lapeer County, and we're proud to be building it alongside so many dedicated partners.

💚 Because when a community works together, incredible things can happen.

What if a children’s savings account (CSA) program could also address mental health, physical wellness, financial literacy, and more—all in one day?

That's exactly what the Lapeer County Education Attainment Fund (LEAF) pulled off with the LEAF 360! Wellness Fair, a first-of-its-kind countywide event that brought together 30 community partner organizations and gave families the chance to earn up to $80 for their students' savings accounts just by participating.

Made possible in part by the Innovation & Sustainability Grant administered by CEDAM and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, the event is a powerful example of what's possible when a CSA program thinks beyond the account. Another LEAF School Year is in the Books! 🌱

As we wrapped up our final LEAF Steering Committee meeting of the academic year, we wanted to take a moment to thank the incredible partners, educators, volunteers, and supporters who help make this program possible.

Together, we continue to inspire students across Lapeer County to learn, save, and dream big. Because of your commitment, LEAF is helping young people build brighter futures one deposit, one lesson, and one goal at a time.

💰 Total Saved: $366,842

These numbers represent more than dollars and accounts—they represent opportunities, aspirations, and a community investing in its future.

Thank you for another successful year of growing financial confidence and educational attainment for local students. We are excited to welcome our 8th cohort of LEAF students this fall and continue this important work together.

We were proud to present this year’s LEAF Golden Apple Award to Murphy Elementary School who has gone above and beyond in supporting the LEAF program!

This award recognizes a school that consistently champions financial education, post-secondary and career aspirations and savings while also actively engaging students, families, and staff in LEAF initiatives. Their partnership and commitment help make a lasting impact on the future of our children.

As part of this recognition, the school also received a $500 grant to support LEAF activities within their building.
