Michigan Summer EBT is a program that helps families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Eligible families will receive $120 per child to purchase groceries while school is out.

Children who receive Michigan Summer EBT can still participate in other summer meal programs.

Some families will receive Summer EBT benefits automatically, while others will need to apply. Families must meet income and program eligibility requirements to qualify.

Applying for or receiving Summer EBT does not affect the immigration status of your children or family.

New Weekend Kits for Kids
Throughout the summer we will be distributing meal kits for kids. Families will be given one bag per child when they visit our pantry. Kits include what is pictured here.

School is out for summer, and many students will now rely on more meals at home, which can create added financial stress for families. You can help by donating at https://www.southlansingministries.com/ or dropping off food on Monday or Thursday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

If you’re unable to give, please keep us in your prayers as we continue our mission to ensure no one goes hungry.

Join us at South Lansing Ministries for our June Recipe of the Month: Barbecue Chicken.

Each Monday in June, neighbors facing food insecurity can receive the ingredients needed to prepare this simple and delicious meal at home. We are excited to continue offering recipes that bring both nourishment and joy to the table.

To participate, please call 517-853-8073 between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM to register. After registering, you are welcome to shop the pantry from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
