This is a prime example of why the 20% myth is a problem 🙄 😒! Years ago, Sam Cochran recommended that "a MINIMUM" of 20% of a law enforcement agency be CIT International Model trained, but many ran with it, misquoting him to say a maximum of 20%. There should be enough officers trained so every shirt has adequate coverage! Effective behavioral health crisis response should be a staple in EVERY COMMUNITY, especially in it's law enforcement system.
