Getting started with mediation is easier than you might think. 🤝

Through Michigan Behavioral Health Mediation Services (MBHMS), we help guide you every step of the way so you can focus on finding solutions, not navigating the process alone.

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Fill out the “Request Mediation” form (https://mibehavioralhealthmediationservices.com/contact-us/)
2️⃣ A specialist will confirm your eligibility
3️⃣ Your case is referred to your local Community Dispute Resolution Program (CDRP) center
4️⃣ The CDRP center conducts an intake process to better understand the situation
5️⃣ A mediation session is scheduled within 10 business days

What do improv and mediation have in common? You never quite know what’ll happen next.

Real mediations are a little like improv. People walk into the room with their own perspectives, priorities, and ideas about how the conversation will go, but no one has a script, and no one can prepare for every turn the conversation might take. Mediators have to listen, adapt, and help the conversation move forward in real time.
