A big thank you to the amazing team from Innovare for spending time volunteering at Ele’s Place last week! 💙

Their team rolled up their sleeves and tackled some much-needed projects—cleaning and organizing our basement and weeding around the front of our building.

Keeping our space welcoming and cared for takes many hands, and we’re so grateful to community partners like Innovare who are willing to jump in and help.

A BIG thank you to our friends at BIGGBY® COFFEE on West Saginaw Ave.! ☕🥯 Their team provided coffee and bagels for our Family Night last week and also hosted a nonperishable food drive for Ele’s Place. We’re so grateful to have community partners who find meaningful ways to support the children and families we serve. 💙

📚 Did you know that the lending library at Ele’s Place offers books for children, teens, and adults who are grieving, or seeking guidance about grief.

You can help us keep our shelves stocked with meaningful resources for grieving families. Visit our Amazon Wish List to purchase a book for the Ele’s Place library. Each book donated can help someone feel understood, supported, and a little less alone.

A heartfelt thank-you to the wonderful volunteers from the Eastwood Walmart! 💙

In addition to generously donating several needed items, their team rolled up their sleeves and spent time beautifying our grounds by pulling weeds, trimming bushes, and working hard outdoors.

Their generosity, kindness, and hard work made a meaningful difference at Ele’s Place, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support! 🌿👏

🏃‍♀️ The Race Is On! 🏃‍♂️ (Sorry for the delay. Had an issue posting.)

We're excited to share that the 2026 Ele's Race 5K will proceed as planned!

As of 4:00 a.m., the AirNow AQI for Lansing is 99 and continuing to improve, meeting the threshold we established for the event.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we carefully monitored conditions throughout the evening. We know how much this event means to our Ele's Place families, participants, volunteers, sponsors, and community, and we're grateful we can safely come together this morning.

For anyone who does not feel comfortable participating outdoors today, we completely understand. We invite you to complete your 5K virtually by running or walking indoors or on another day when conditions are right.

We look forward to seeing everyone this morning! 💙
