Breaking News!!!! GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign launched to help raise money for Big Penny's reconstruction!!

Lansing's beloved Too Tall Truck Munching Bridge was mercilessly mauled by a horrible hooded hooligan earlier this year. Her beautiful eyes and pearly white teeth were violently destroyed. Since then Lansing has seemed a little less fun, and just not quite the same. We hope to fix that.

Working in secret with some of Lansing's finest Artists and Makers, we have come up with a plan for Big Penny 2.0. A Big Penny that will once again bring joy to Lansing, and hopefully one that will last for many years ahead.

Big Penny 2.0 will not stray from the original aesthetic that we have all come to love. But instead of craft foam we're going to use PVC for the teeth and eyes. Instead of adhesive that can easily be scraped away, we are going to create a stainless steel frame that will hold the teeth. We might even make the eyes a little bigger, and googlier! 👀

Everything seems costly these days, and the supplies for Big Penny 2.0 are not going to be cheap. So we're asking for your help. Many have said that they would donate if we were to setup a fundraiser. Now is your chance to help bring Big Penny back to Lansing!

Everyone involved in this project is donating, their time, skills, and equipment.This is not about making money, or recognition, and it never has been. Everyone involved in this project has been sworn to secrecy, and will remain anonymous. We simply want to make Lansing smile.

If we hit our goal of $2000 that would be absolutely amazing.

If we don't we're still going to make it happen.

If we exceed the goal we might buy a six pack, and some grub while working on Penny.

If there's anything left over we might try to cover the taxes associated with the fundraiser, and have a fund for future positive projects!

We've added some excellent classes recently. This summer is an excellent time to learn some new skills and create something with your own hands!

1. Our first ever quilting class! In 4 sessions you'll learn the basic tools for quilting, create your top, and finish quilting the piece.
2. Adirondack Chair Class. No woodworking experience needed
3. Wine Rack/Water Bottle Rack Class
4. Intro to CAD and 3D printing using Fusion360
