I would like to apologize to all of our followers out there, we are in a rebranding phase and will be developing a stronger more informative site. As an update, I would like to say that we have expanded in a number of ways. First, MUGD has developed a production company, DreamStar productions which is a DBA of S.French Talent and Leadership Building Academy. MUGD has also partnered with the Dream Warriors and the Eastside Community Action Center and through this merger, we have created the New Direction Recidivism Reduction Transitional Housing and Educational Program that is a partner with Timber Creek Ranch. This Ranch is nearly 100 acres, and has multiple housing units on it which will be utilized to house returning citizens, troubled youth (18 to 24) and homeless veterans! Yeah! We have also continued with our partnership with the Fledge and the National Lifers of America, Inc., to establish Prison to Pavement Trucking which we will speak more about after the rebranding! We have successfully made it through yet another week! There have been a lot of conversations about returning citizens and the lack of support that they receive. One of the most concerning issues is the State's position on allowing apartment complexes and landlords to bar returning citizens from being able to rent because they have a felony on their record! This is not only egregious, it is by design! Although our nonprofit does not deal with these sorts of issues directly, MUGD is outraged by policies that allow for these forms of [subjugation] to take place in a society that vehemently expresses its so-called concern for those returning to society! We have to do better. We have to remove antiquated policies, statues and laws that were designed to oppress, rather than heal! Love you all...Executive Director S.D. French!

Mics Up Guns Down is the revolution that assists those involved in the movement to end gun violence in our Frontline communities! Good morning everyone! So today is Friday yeah! Although it is the end of the week for most, I like to look at Fridays as being a day of reflection. What did I fail to do properly or more effectively? What did I get right and how will that serve me in the coming weeks and months? I also like to take time out on Fridays to give thanks for all that has been given to me, those that assisted me in anyway, and for the advancements that I have made personally as well those that Mics Up Guns Down has made with assistance of our board, my consultants, Jerry Norris of the Fledge, and the team at the Lansing Media Center. Being grateful, thankful and humble is how we draw more positive energy to ourselves and the vision, which is centered around one thing and one thing only, giving back! Please join me and my team at MUGD, in helping to bring healing and positive change to a world that seems dead set on destroying itself! Love you guys...have a great day and an amazing weekend!
