Our fourth Inspired Leaders cohort had their last meeting of the year at the Mother Teresa House in Lansing. This group of local nonprofit leaders serves as a support system for each other, sharing insights on fundraising, human resources, board recruitment and more.

Special thanks to the Mother Teresa House for hosting, and for their work providing comfort and care to terminally ill community members.

When we first envisioned Fish Ladder Music Park, we dreamed of community events bringing people together for music, family-friendly programs, wellness activities, and more — and those dreams are coming true!

We are so excited to present the following upcoming events at Fish Ladder Music Park:
-Lansing Free Yoga Project -- Majestic Morning Yoga on June 14th and June 28th
-Rhythm in the Park Series with The Flint Southernaires & AWD Band on June 14th
-Game Night on June 15th and June 22nd
-Fête de la Musique on June 21st

We are thrilled to welcome Joe Enerson, our new Community Investment Officer, to the Community Foundation!

Joe just joined the Foundation in May, and has 10 years of experience in nonprofit management. He is passionate about creating new programs and collaborating with other organizations to better respond to community needs. He's especially looking forward to working with nonprofit leaders from across the region in this new role.

Outside of work, Joe likes to spend time gardening, cooking, and reading together with his wife and son. Locally, you can find them visiting Impression 5 Science Center or the Beal Botanical Garden on Michigan State University's campus.

Next up in our video series featuring fundholders and nonprofit partners of the Community Foundation, take a look inside the colorful classrooms of Reach Studio Art Center!

REACH provides art education through classes, summer camps and more from their studio spaces in Lansing's REO Town neighborhood.

We provided REACH with a Capacity Building Grant during a time of leadership transition, which helped them bring stakeholders together to build a strategic plan and create a roadmap for decades to come.
