Breaking News!!! Big Penny has been destroyed!! We can't believe that we're reporting this but sadly it appears that someone has deliberately destroyed Big Penny. Only the undersized gold tooth we put up yesterday remains. We actually performed a thorough health check when we were onsite Sunday and fixed some issues that arose over Winter. So we can only assume that this was an intentional act by someone that likely needs some help. But it saddens us none the less.

We never thought it would last this long. But we're damn sad to see it go.

Will we rebuild?
F*ck yes we will.
It will take a little time for us to pull all the supplies together and make everything so please be patient.

Breaking News!!! The Potter Park Zoo is closed today due to flooding under Big Penny. Road construction has alternative routes blocked as well. Local officials are asking all motorists to avoid the area until further notice!

Breaking News!!! A tragedy of epic proportions is unfolding this morning. In this 100% unedited photo we can see the moment right before a Too Tall Truck carrying Paczki to an area Quality Dairy fell victim to Big Penny's mighty munch. Traffic on Pennsylvania Avenue has come to a standstill as the area is now covered in powdered sugar, and deliciously tasty jelly. City of Lansing, Michigan - Government officials have asked motorists to avoid the area until the scene has been cleared.

Representatives from Quality Dairy have assured us that this will not delay the start of today's Paczki Day, as they have quickly redistributed Paczki from other locations, and ramped up production. Thankfully no one was injured during the incident, but several witnesses were observed struggling to get the powdered sugar off of their clothes. Stay tuned as this is a developing story! We love you Lansing!!! Almost as much as we love those damn delicious donuts!! ❤️👀

Breaking News!!! Big Penny's scoreboards have been updated!! Under the cover of darkness STUPID - Lansing Operatives took advantage of this warm weather to clean, straighten, and update the signs!! The cold weather is tough on the signs, and stuff doesn't like to stick when it's freezing. Today's 50 degree weather was perfect for a Big Penny visit!!

She stands strong, and fat from a record year. Googly Eyes glistening in the glow of the streetlights. Her toothy grin shines bright as she lies in wait. She briefly awoke from her winter hibernation and smiled a little wider as we worked on the signs. We might be crazy but it sure sounded like she said thanks!

A New Year brings a reset to the counter. But who knows what this year will bring for our beloved bridge. Will she break her record of 27 munches set this year? Will she have another double munch, or maybe even a triple munch??? Will the City of Lansing, Michigan finally give the people what they really want, and install cameras on both sides??? No one really knows, but we know that we'll be here for it! Keeping track of Big Penny's exploits, and hopefully having a little fun with you along the way!
