Joe Dimmick Memorial Foundation Our mission: To keep Joe's memory alive by awarding scholarship aid to students majoring in insurance programs & to provide donations to local charities.

ABOUT US

On November 3, 2010, we lost a dear friend, family member and colleague with the sudden passing of Joe Dimmick. A dedicated family man, Joe was active in his church and well respected in the insurance community. With his unique sense of humor and general compassion for people, Joe always showed a sincere interest in each individual’s well-being as he made his “rounds” among those he came

in contact with. No matter what your position in life, Joe managed to make everyone feel as if they were a valued member of the team. Joe loved playing golf and boasting of his booming drives. He looked forward to his many golf and fishing trips with family and friends, and would send photos of his prize catches and golf scorecard from his mobile phone. Joe was in the insurance industry for over 30 years and active in his church community in many ways. He touched many lives and will forever be fondly remembered for that ever-present gap-toothed smile, his constant words of encouragement, those infamous Ball State Cardinals, and his running commentary on MSU football or basketball. But mostly he will be remembered by his friends and loved ones as a caring, compassionate individual who loved life and wanted everyone he came in contact with to share in that wonderful experience.

The 15th annual Joe Dimmick Memorial Outing will be held on Friday, August 22nd at Centennial Acres in Sunfield, MI. In its 15 year run, the outing has raised over $120,000.00!!

Joe was an amazing man, a brilliant insurance professional, and a heck of a golfer!

Wow. Blown away by this year's outing - 38 teams registered, 150 golfers, and lots of selfless volunteers helped to make this year's outing a great success! We cannot thank you all enough for your love and support over the years to keep this outing going strong! Joe was such a fun, kind, and amazing man and it is just such a testament to him that year after year we are able to celebrate his memory in this way. Thank you all so much! We will see ya for year 15 next year!

We are in the home stretch! Hooray! The Joe Dimmick Memorial Golf Outing is THIS Friday. We are so excited for how this year's outing is looking and cannot wait to see everyone in a few days. Just a few reminders: There will be a Silent Auction, on course games, a 50/50 raffle and of course a drink cart making the rounds, so make sure to being some spending $. Also, lunch is provided for golfers at the turn, and dinner after all teams have finished. 🍔🌭 🍉
