Happen to be free on November 4th and love giving back to the next generation of creative talent? Here’s a great way to get involved in collaboration with the LCC Advisory Board and ERESA Career Preparation Center.
(Note: This event is not for students—it’s the biannual industry advisory board meeting where local professionals help us shape the program!)
Background:
Through the ERESA Career Preparation Center, high school juniors and seniors get a major jumpstart on their careers through advanced learning and college-level courses. State funding requires ERESA to host an Advisory Board meeting twice a year, but more importantly, we want you there. As future employers, we rely on your real-world guidance to ensure students are learning the technical and conceptual skills needed to be competitive candidates. This year, LCC is combining forces with visual design programs from Charlotte and Grand Ledge to bring even more diverse voices into the conversation.
What to Expect:
Dinner at Tony M’s: We'll kick things off at 6:00 PM (meeting to follow).
The Vibe: A fun evening and a great excuse to talk shop with fellow industry members in a supportive, collaborative environment.
The Topics: We focus on 2 or 3 main industry shifts (like AI and evolving technical standards).
If you want to weigh in on curriculum structure, course offerings, and what skills actually matter in the field right now while enjoying dinner with networking professionals, we’d love to have you at the table.

Fall Advisory will be held 11/4/26 at Tony M's (3420 S Creyts Rd, Lansing) starting at 6pm. The evening will commence with dinner and a brief presentation. Following the presentation, committee members will be directed to their respective meeting spaces at either Tony M's or a classroom at LCC West....
