🚨A section of Winslow Trail, a walking and biking trail which runs from Holiday Drive to Eisenhower Road and connects the Woodland Hills and Fairway Estates subdivisions in Lansing, is currently closed.🚨

Circle H Development has begun work on Phase II of the Monroe Manor Subdivision. To construct Ledbetter Lane, Winslow Trail has been closed in the area shown on their provided graphic. We anticipate this work to continue into spring. Once the contractor has completed this phase of construction the trail will reopen. A raised, speed-table-style crosswalk will be installed onto Leadbetter Lane where the newly constructed road and trail intersect.

The city asks trail users not to trespass into the active construction zone and to obey all posted barricades and signs.

BIG FALL SPORTS UPDATE - Fall Soccer, Flag Football, Cheer:

SOCCER COACHES - please check your email. Coach Pickup Day has been rescheduled to Friday!

SOCCER FAMILIES - Due to the last-minute changes, we have delayed getting rosters and season information to the coaches. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU: The season will start quickly; you may receive a call on Saturday and have your first practice on Monday.

ALL SPORTS: Teams will have the OPTION to start practices as early as Monday, August 24. Games are not scheduled to begin until September 12. Game schedules are not ready - as soon as they are, they will be emailed to all coaches and participants.

UPDATE: COACHES SECURED!

SERIOUSLY FOLKS... We are looking at having to delay the start of the season!

🚨⚽ URGENT: SOCCER COACHES NEEDED! ⚽🚨

Over the weekend, we unexpectedly had a volunteer coach withdraw from the Fall Soccer season due to unforeseen medical circumstances, leaving TWO teams in need of a coach.

We are currently looking for:

⚽ ONE Coach — 3rd & 4th Grade Soccer
⚽ ONE Coach — 5th & 6th Grade Soccer

These teams already have kids registered and ready to play — we just need the adults willing to step up and lead them!

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A SOCCER EXPERT!

You don't need extensive coaching experience. You simply need to be willing to work with the players, learn the game, and provide a positive experience for our young athletes.

🏆 Parents, grandparents, family members, and community members are welcome to volunteer!

⏰ We need to identify replacement coaches as soon as possible, as coach information and equipment pickup begin Wednesday, August 19. Without a replacement, we may have to delay the start of the season for these age groups.

COACH REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must pass a background check
• Must sign the Coaches' Code of Ethics

HERE’S THE PLAY-BY-PLAY:

We’ve recruited 3 rockstar volunteer coaches — now we need 1 MORE PLAYER to complete the dream teams!

🎯 1 player to reach our goal!

We're aiming for 30 players to create three teams of 9–10 players each, offering a top-notch team experience this fall!

🏈 AND YES — IT'S CO-ED! Girls AND boys are all set to join the fun!

Flag football is gaining ground as a fantastic opportunity for female athletes, right up through high school and college. Now's the perfect time for your athlete to jump in!

Our goal is 30 players so we can create three teams of 9–10 players and give these athletes a full team experience this fall!
