🏀 YOUTH WINTER BASKETBALL: 🏀 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! 🏀
For youths enrolled in 1st through 6th Grade for the 2026-2027 school year.
REGISTRATION:
OCTOBER 1 - 31 ... ⏰ LATE REGISTRATIONS MAY NOT BE ACCEPTED! ⏰
AGE DIVISIONS:
1st & 2nd Grade (Coed), 3rd & 4th Grade*, and 5th & 6th Grade*
*Separate teams for boys and girls are designated, but other options may need to be considered depending on registration numbers.
REGISTRATION FEES:
Lansing Residents: $50 | Nonresidents: $60
(Fees are due at the time of registration & include a Jersey)

Visit the Parks & Recreation Department at www.lansingks.org - register via “YOUTH SPORTS REGISTRATION”
IN-PERSON REGISTRATION:
108 S. 2nd Street; Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Practices can be twice a week on weekday evenings (Monday - Thursday), starting in December. Games are on Saturdays, beginning after the holiday break in January and will continue through mid-March.
NOTICE: COACH, TEAM, & SPECIAL REQUESTS
Lansing Parks and Recreation has strict policies regarding special requests and team selection. Please review the full guidelines on our 'Youth Program Information' webpage at www.lansingks.org/1423/Youth-Sports-Programs.
To prevent confusion, please note our absolute policies below:
⭐ While general player (friend) or coach requests may be submitted, they are never guaranteed.
⭐ No Practice Requests: Practice schedules are set entirely by volunteer coaches after teams are formed. We do not consider, review, or entertain individual practice day or time requests.
⭐ No Team Changes: Once teams are formed, participants will not be moved to a different team under any circumstances.
⭐ No Refunds for Conflicts: Registration means you accept whatever practice schedule your assigned team receives. Schedule conflicts do not qualify for a refund.
VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED:
Volunteer coaches, apply during registration!
To qualify as a volunteer coach, applicants must meet the following requirements:
✔️ Be 18 years of age or older
✔️ Successfully pass a background check
✔️ Sign our Coaches’ Code of Ethics agreement
There are multiple ways to apply:

➡️ In person during business hours at our office located at 108 S 2nd Street

Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm.
Please Note:
♦️ Volunteers are welcome to sign up for multiple divisions and do not need to be associated with a participant.
♦️ Applying to coach does NOT guarantee a coaching position.
♦️ City staff has the right to deny or accept any request to coach for any reason.
REFUND, ADDITIONAL FEE, & OTHER INFORMATION:
⚠️ If late registrations are permitted, an additional fee of $10 per participant will be assessed.
⚠️ All card transactions, online or in person, incur processing fees.
⚠️ Nonresident fees, late fees, and card processing fees are non-refundable.
⚠️ Refunds will NOT be offered after the uniform and equipment order is placed on November 20, 2026.
⚠️ A cancelation fee of $5.00 will be applied to all registration refunds.
