Started by involved residents and members of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, together, we are working to build momentum for action in choosing leaders and enacting policies that will lead to safer streets, strong neighborhoods, economic opportunity and accountable, more effective local government. Lansing goes forward with a City Council that mostly mirrors the one it's had. But to face the challenges and opportunities ahead, the council and Mayor Virg Bernero will serve the city best by working to collaborate more.

Dysfunction junction! The City Council strikes again, blocking a proposal to have a public hearing on this issue.

LANSING -- Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero announced today that Davenport University is withdrawing its proposal to renovate the Oliver Towers property in downtown Lansing as part of a land swap with the city.
