Today, Advent House Ministries joins communities across the nation in honoring the history, cultures, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous peoples.

As an organization dedicated to serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability, we recognize the importance of building a community rooted in dignity, compassion, inclusion, and respect for all.

We acknowledge the Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land for generations and celebrate their continued contributions to our communities.

Together, we can work toward a future where everyone is valued, respected, and has the opportunity to thrive.

Motivational Monday!

Progress doesn’t always happen in big, noticeable ways. Sometimes, progress is simply getting up, showing up, trying again, or taking one small step forward.

Wherever you are today, remember that every step matters. Give yourself grace for how far you’ve come, and keep moving toward what comes next.

Small steps can lead to big change. 🌱

Motivational Monday 🌿

A new week is another opportunity to lead with kindness—to ourselves, to our neighbors, and to those whose journeys may look different from our own.

Sometimes a fresh start begins with something small: a kind word, a helping hand, a little patience, or simply choosing to keep going.

At Advent House Ministries, we believe compassion can help create the safety, stability, and hope people need to move forward.

Here’s to starting the week with kindness. 💛

In observance of Juneteenth, Advent House Ministries will be closed on Friday, June 19. Our offices will reopen and resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a time to reflect on freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equity, opportunity, and dignity for all.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful holiday weekend.

Every day brings new challenges. Some are expected. Many are not.

In a world where obstacles seem to appear around every corner, it can be easy to become discouraged. But at Advent House Ministries, we are reminded that our mission has never been dependent on easy circumstances. It is built on perseverance, compassion, and an unwavering belief in the people we serve.

There will always be barriers to overcome, setbacks to navigate, and difficult days to face. Yet we remain committed to showing up, doing the work, and standing alongside our community.

We will continue to advocate. We will continue to serve. We will continue to create pathways toward stability, dignity, and hope.

Because every challenge is another opportunity to prove that compassion is stronger than adversity.

No matter what comes our way, we keep moving forward—together.
