As we embrace the season of renewal, now is the perfect time to refresh, organize, and spring clean. While you’re sorting through your belongings, we kindly ask that you consider donating any gently used items you may no longer need.

We are a non-profit organization based on the west side of Lansing, dedicated to supporting our community through the provision of essential resources, hands-on assistance, and daily necessities such as clothing. Recently, we’ve received numerous referrals from our community via 211, with many individuals seeking clothing assistance.

If you are able to contribute to meeting this critical need, we would be immensely grateful for your support. We are happy to arrange a pickup or schedule a drop-off at your convenience.

Resource Drive at The Village Lansing:

This Friday and Saturday (3/14 and 3/15) MI Poder will be hosting a resource drive for families in Southwest Detroit at The Village Lansing. MI Poder is a civic engagement organization that serves the Michigan Latinx Community.

THE NEED:

On February 17, a massive water main break in Southwest Detroit flooded 400 homes, leaving families displaced and struggling without essential utilities. Now, as temperatures rise, pipes inside homes are bursting, making the situation even worse.

Detroit is working on repairs, but families still need help. MI Poder is gathering the Lansing community to send resources to Southwest Detroit.
