EXCITING NEWS: Registration is now open for our 7th Annual Nicole Cares Foundation Blood Drive!

For the seventh consecutive year, our community will come together to help save lives through the gift of blood donation. Together, we’ve already made a lifesaving impact, and we’re excited to continue this tradition on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

In recognition of Blood Cancer Awareness Month, the Nicole Cares Foundation is proud to partner once again with Faith Movers Church and Versiti Blood Center of Illinois to help ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients undergoing cancer treatment, individuals living with sickle cell disease, trauma victims, premature babies, and many others in need.

📍 Faith Movers Church
425 Exchange Street
University Park, IL 60484

📅 Saturday, September 19, 2026
🕘 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CT

💡 Why your donation matters:

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, and one blood donation can help save up to three lives.

A diverse blood donor pool is also essential to improving health equity by increasing the availability of compatible blood for patients with complex transfusion needs, including many individuals living with sickle cell disease.

FACT vs. FICTION FRIDAY

Blood cancers affect more than just the bloodstream.

They often involve the bone marrow, where blood cells are produced, and the lymphatic system, which plays a key role in immune function.

Understanding how these cancers develop helps improve awareness, diagnosis, and care.

Were you aware of how blood cancers impact the body?

Blood cancers like lymphoma can affect people at any age—and awareness matters.

Paying attention to changes in your body and seeking medical guidance when something feels off can make a difference.
