BIG NEWS FOR MACAE!🎉

We’re excited to announce that MACAE has been awarded a $250,000 Advance Michigan: Reframing the Value of Higher Education Grant from the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP)!

Through this 18-month initiative, MACAE will lead a statewide marketing campaign focused on helping Michigan adults better understand the value of education and training after high school and the many pathways available to them.

We’re proud to have this opportunity to elevate the voices of adult learners, highlight the important role of adult education, and help more Michigan adults see what’s possible for their future.

The Child Care Licensing Bureau (CCLB) performs state licensing regulatory duties as required by state laws and federal requirements.

A year ago today, MACAE members, educators, and advocates gathered at the Michigan Capitol to send a clear message: adult education deserves to be funded.

Together, we stood up for the learners whose lives are transformed through adult education and made sure lawmakers heard their stories.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to advocate on behalf of adult learners across Michigan. Your voices continue to make a difference, and we're grateful to have you standing with us. 💙

MACAE is inviting presentation proposals for the 2026 Annual Conference, "Learning Without Limits," taking place November 10-13, 2026. This event will explore how adult and alternative education can expand pathways to success through innovation and collaboration. We encourage proposals that highlight workforce connections, digital literacy, and learner-centered strategies. Don't miss the chance to contribute to meaningful conversations in education.
