It's been a while! Granny Storm Crow's List has published a new list and I wanted to let everyone know. Below is the email she shared with me and, as always, wishes it to be shared. We love you Granny!

Hi everyone,
I expect that some of you were wondering why you didn’t get this in 2024. The last few months have been a bit of an emotional “rollercoaster” ride for me. And without going into details, between my family’s issues and the government (repeatedly) making an error on my Social Security, let’s just say, I’ve been kind of busy!

Fortunately, I’m stubborn and I just “keep on, keepin’ on” with the List, and eventually, I do get the job done. Educating the world about cannabis is a long-term job, and I’ve been working at it for the past 18 years with my List.

Now, I’m just one 77 year-old lady doing all the finding, sorting, checking and sharing of my List. And that’s where the 2,000 of you on my mailing list come in. The whole idea of my List is to get rid of the ignorance and misinformation that surrounds cannabis! I need you to share the List, or even just parts of it, with your friends and family who will enjoy, or could benefit from, learning more about cannabis.

If you want to post the List up in some form on your web site, feel free to do so- just remember to say who did the work!

For those of you who are new to my List, be sure to activate the headings for the List. They can be slow to load and may not show up for a few moments, but they make using the List much easier. And then, just scroll on down and read through the headings. You’ll be amazed how many conditions cannabis may treat.

If you are currently just using the NEWS SECTION, don’t be afraid of checking out the studies! Studies start with a short abstract that is (usually) fairly easy to understand and gives you the basic information. If you take that minute to look up any words you don’t know, you’ll find that the study’s information suddenly becomes clear! Tip - Studies that have the word “Review” in their titles are very helpful. They look at a big bunch of related studies and put their collective information into a condensed form.

A while back, a friend asked why I used PubMed as my main source. There are several reasons- they are stable. Once a full study is published, it stays up. Some of the commercial sites will have the full study available at first, but later, will only allow free viewing of the abstract. The size of PubMed’s font is larger and easier to read than on some other sites, and is very simple to use, so it is “senior friendly”. They don’t require membership to use their site and sometimes have the full study available, when the commercial sites are still asking for money to see it.

Finally, when dealing with a skeptic, that little banner at the top of the studies- “An official website of the United States government”- helps with any credibility issues. It’s hard for them to argue that the US Government is some “Hippy-Dippy”, pro-pot organization!
I keep the List in both PDF and Word, because you may have a preference when it comes to the format. The studies section is big and may open slowly.
