Lansing Adult Respite Services The services are designed to enhance the quality of life for older adults and to provide short-term respite for their caregivers.

Adult Respite Services is an adult day care service that provides short-term respite for caregivers of adults 60 and older who have social, physical, emotional and intellectual needs while offering specially designed activities for those who attend. Adult Respite Services provides short-term respite for caregivers of adults 60 and older who have social, physical, emotional, and intellectual needs.

We are dedicated to providing a safe environment in which older adults have their intellectual, physical, emotional, and social needs met. Activities offered include: music, arts and crafts, health education, theme parties, chair exercises/walking, community service projects, current event discussions, and games-such as cards, bowling, and shuffleboard. The costs to attend are available at a flat rate charge for private pay. Grant assistance may be available to clients that qualify. Contact the director for more details and current information. Adult Respite Services is a program of RSVP, a non-profit organization.

We are currently selling certificates for Grand Traverse Pie Company. Certificates are available for $15 each or 2 for $25, and are redeemable at any Grand Traverse Pie Company for a pie. Due to the extreme cold temperatures predicted for tomorrow, Adult Respite Services will be closed again tomorrow Tuesday January 28th, 2014. We urge every one to limit time outside to the minimum since the risk of frostbite is greatly increased with these extreme temperatures. Stay safe and stay warm everyone.
