Come take a kayak trip down the Grand River with the ATHENA WIN Social Events Committee!

The trip down the river takes approximately 1.5 hours. Dimondale Canoe & Kayak will transport you to Danford Island Park launch site, which includes several lagoons to paddle around in, as you head down the river. Life jackets, paddles, and single kayaks will be provided. Participants can bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, and snacks.

We hosted our Social Meet Up Series at Lansing Shuffle, bringing together women from across the community for an evening of connection and networking.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet and build relationships with fellow leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals while connecting with our board members and current members. Throughout the evening, guests shared updates about their organizations and supported one another through meaningful conversation, collaboration, and community-building.

During our ATHENA Professional Growth and Development Series, presenter Hollie Town, PA-C, founder of Aqua Aesthetics & Wellness joined by Dr. Lena Weinman, a board-certified OB/GYN and cosmetic surgeon, to discuss women’s health, hormones, and personal empowerment.

This session explored the science of women’s health through the lens of hormones, the often-overlooked foundation of energy, focus, mood, and long-term well-being. Together, they explained what’s happening in the body at different life stages, how hormonal changes impact daily life and performance, and what support options are available, from lifestyle strategies.

This morning, we had the pleasure of welcoming our ATHENA WIN Aspiring Leaders, paired mentors, and special guests for a celebration honoring our second cohort!

We were delighted to host our guests over a light breakfast at Lansing's Capital Region International Airport (LAN) , where each aspiring leader shared their capstone introduction project. They highlighted their growth as leaders, explored their unique leadership styles, and reflected on their non-negotiables and personal passions.

From inspiring insights on taking ownership and leading authentically to powerful reflections on supporting others, it has been incredible to witness their journeys. Watching each participant better understand and embrace their leadership style has been truly impactful.

We had an excellent event at our ATHENA WIN Social Meet Up Series at the Lansing Shuffle.
