What a fantastic day on the Grand River!

The ATHENA WIN Social Events Committee enjoyed an afternoon of paddling, connecting, and taking in the beautiful scenery along the river. After launching from Danford Island Park, participants explored the peaceful lagoons before making their way downstream on a relaxing 1.5-hour kayak trip.

A special highlight was our midway pit stop, where everyone gathered around to enjoy snacks, drinks, and great conversation. It was the perfect opportunity to unwind, strengthen connections, and create lasting memories together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to Dimondale Canoe & Kayak for helping make the day such a success. We can't wait to see you at our next ATHENA WIN event!

Come take a kayak trip down the Grand River with the ATHENA WIN Social Events Committee!

The trip down the river takes approximately 1.5 hours. Dimondale Canoe & Kayak will transport you to Danford Island Park launch site, which includes several lagoons to paddle around in, as you head down the river. Life jackets, paddles, and single kayaks will be provided. Participants can bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, and snacks.
