Ingham County has been deemed an area of “substantial” transmission level of COVID-19. In areas of substantial or high transmission levels, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that all individuals wear masks in public indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status.

ICHD will start vaccinating children ages 12-15 years old with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine tomorrow (Thurs., May 13) at 8:30 a.m. Parents/guardians may schedule an appointment for their children at any ICHD site offering the Pfizer vaccine. They may also walk-in/drive-up (no appointment needed) at the MSU Pavilion, Tuesdays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. A parent or guardian must be present at the time of vaccination. We have previously stated our desire to help, and offers of groceries, a hotel room, and other assistance has been brushed away. Please also be mindful of phishing scams and other types of fraud where the person on the phone is not who they say that they are.

We want to believe all of our neighbors are genuine, and LAMA also acts off of sound evidence, to avoid mismanagement through naivety.
