St Casimir MPNO Garden Our mission is to provide a sunny and safe space for Moores Park area residents to share the experience of gardening as a community.

Once an empty, paved lot used for overflow parking, the St. Casimir/MPNO Garden is now a beautiful place for our neighborhood to grow.

The Special Joint Human Relations and Community Services Advisory Board & Mayor’s Neighborhood Advisory Board Meeting has been rescheduled for January 27, 2026, begining at 5:30 pm at the Alfreda Schmidt Community Center (5825 Wise Rd., Lansing, 48911) in the auditorium.

The garden space is starting to fill ,

Please call Ellen Gallavan at 517-374-0076 to be assigned a plot location, prior to sending in any plot fees, so that you clearly understand where your plot space is located.
This is a plot garden so you have assigned space to work in. IF you are a 2019 Gardener and have not talked to Ellen yet this season please give her a Ring so that she knows you are coming back.

yes we have space , please feel free to spread the word with your neighbors and walk thru and check it out.

This is a plot garden , so you get a space usually 10x10 or 20 x 10 and plant your own stuff and w**d your own stuff. ..........................
we have water on site, this is huge
We ask you plant by June 1 and clear by Oct 31 --
Attend one meeting at the beginning of the season.

Its August already ..... late season crops can be a great way to stay engaged -- radishes go seed to eat in 22 days, spinach , check out the Garden Project website for tons of tips .. FYI al all we are adding one more gardener --
