For the very first time, my name is Ashley Cetnarowski and I am your Miss Saginaw County 2026 🩷👑🌸✨🎀

On Saturday, I had the honor of taking the stage to earn the title of Miss Saginaw County. I also earned the talent award with an original HERStory, a $500 scholarship, and most special to me, the Miss Congeniality Award from my peers. The young women I shared the stage with were simply amazing and I am elated to continue to support them.

A dream more than 4 years in the making has come true and I am filled with gratitude. It took hard work, grit, and an unwavering (and sometimes challenged) belief in my ability to fail forward again, and again, and again; 17 times, to be exact.

Everybody talks about “full circle moments” in this organization and my crowning is no exception. I earned my first title with a year of service at the very same high school that I stepped on stage as a local Miss America contestant at 4 years ago (shoutout to Swan Valley High School for allowing us to use their BEAUTIFUL new performing arts center). That 21 year old girl with a dream has grown into a 25 year old woman with a purpose.

With that being said, we are getting right to WORK! There is so much more to come, but for now, I just want to say thank you. To all of the judges, volunteers, my people, Shelby, and the girls: your love, your light, and your faith in me are forever one of the best parts of me and I will carry that with me during my year of service. Sam, you have left big shoes to fill 👠

Shoutout to my Miss Saginaw County’s Teen Maggie Mae , my Miss Spirit of the State Lacy , and our Miss Spirit of the State’s Teen Bayleigh 👑 We are going to have the best year together 🩷

Saginaw County, I am yours. 🥹🩷

Ameri-CAN Heart Association fundraiser was a success!

Thanks to my community, we filled 5 carts and hit our goal of $60.00 for the AHA! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who donated their cans. Your contribution will not only fund scholarships for young women, but will also fund vital heart disease research.

I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off pageant week🫶🏼♻️

Northern Michigan (and visitors), this one’s for you!

The Fourth of July falling on a Friday made for a whole weekend celebration! The worst part? Returning all of those cans and bottles! Now that it’s the week after, let me help you clean up and give back while doing it. 🥤

I am hosting a can and bottle drive starting now through the end of next week!

Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and Miss Michigan scholarships, so your empties will go toward something full of heart.❤️

I am available for porch pick up from Mancelona all the way to Petoskey! Reach out if you’d like to donate, and I’ll take care of the rest!♻️

No bottles or cans but still want to donate? Message me for the direct donation link!

There couldn’t have been a more fitting first title for me than Miss Heart of Michigan. I have truly poured my heart into every moment.

From day one, it has been the privilege of my life to wear Miss Heart over my own heart, representing not only an underrepresented region, as the first person from my hometown area to ever compete at Miss Michigan, but also the grit, grace, and determination of small town girls with big dreams. I have grown, I have given, and I have learned. Everything I had was lovingly put into this role, and I would never change a thing about how authentically I led.

To the young girls who saw themselves in me: never let anyone tell you that where you come from limits where you can go. The “Heart” of my title has served as a constant reminder to lead with mine, and because of that, it will forever hold a piece of it. Small town, big dreams, bigger heart.

To mom and dad: thank you for always believing in me. Your advice, encouragement, and support throughout the 25 years of my life is what made this dream possible.

To Amber, the best sister a girl could ask for: thank you for driving 8 hours to watch me shine and for coming on stage with me through your music. I couldn’t ask for a better person to walk alongside during the transition from girlhood to womanhood.

To Laurel, my best friend long before becoming my sash sister: this would not have been possible without you. You believed in me for years, building me up until I believed in myself too. You are the true embodiment of what this organization is all about.

To all of my friends: your letters, words of encouragement, and belief in me long before I wore a crown has made this experience so, so special. I have never taken my people for granted, and whether you were cheering in the crowd, watching from home, or thinking of me along the way, your presence and love were felt.

What was once my story will become a highlight reel, but I will carry this title and all that it represents with me, forever.

Miss Heart of Michigan, I had the time of my life, with you. Long live.🩷

For the final time,
Miss Heart of Michigan 2025

Once in a great while, you get to do something that changes the trajectory of your life. For me, it was the Miss Michigan Scholarship Organization.

I set a goal a decade ago to walk the Miss Michigan stage. This week, I did just that.

I am beyond proud of not only achieving a goal that is 10 years old, but for truly leading with my heart the whole way. I knew the title of Miss Heart of Michigan was given to me for a reason. This week, I understood what that reason was.

The journey to get to this very stage was filled with failure, self doubt, and rejection. But through every setback, I chose to keep showing up. I chose to grow. I chose to believe in the beauty of my dream.

Goals like this don’t just ask for your talent — they ask for your heart. I gave it my all, and I wouldn’t change a single thing.

To my fellow young women who have failed, who come from small towns, who feel they are not enough…this was for you. Believe in yourself and until you do…know that I believe in you.

The woman that I am today is miles ahead of who I was. I am confident. I am resilient. I am bold. I know exactly what I have to offer the world.

She is her own hero, and this week I again proved to myself that I am mine. 🖤

Friends and family brunch before taking the stage for Miss Michigan finals made special by my dad.

From my first pageant orientation 11 years ago to today, dad, we made it to Miss Michigan. Your baby from the outside in, chasing my dreams, but I’ll always know the road that leads me home again. I’ll always be your little girl. 🩷🥹🫶🏼

Thank you so much to the for hosting us and feeding us a delicious brunch!

Spending the afternoon visiting the Boys and Girls Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore yesterday has been the highlight of the week. 💜

We got to meet the boys and girls, spend time on the brand new dock, participate in cardio drumming, play games, read books, and create crafts!

For me, the best part was meeting the sweetest little girl and turning it into a mentorship opportunity for her. She even wore my sash while we cardio drummed! I asked her if she would ever do Miss America. She said probably not. When I left, I asked her again if she would ever think about Miss America. She said yes, she wants to do it when she gets older. 🥹

It’s moments like these that remind me what it’s all about. The combination of my service initiative She Is Her Own Hero and the iconic Miss America brand make for an opportunity for youth to truly see themselves as Miss America.

Jenae, Miss Michigan 2024, shared with us earlier this week that not everyone will get to meet a Miss America or even a Miss Michigan (especially in rural, underrepresented towns like the one I come from) in their life. Because of that, WE as the local titleholders are their Miss America experience. I am happy that I got to be hers and that I get to be the Miss America experience for girls of all backgrounds, especially small towns.

Thank you to the Boys and Girls Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore for welcoming the class of 2025. 🩷

Tonight, I will make my debut on the Frauenthal stage.

A dream more than 10 years in the making, I know I am here for a purpose. No matter what happens, I will walk off that stage proud, knowing I showed the woman I have worked so hard to become. Knowing I have already inspired young girls from small rural towns to believe in the beauty of their big dreams. Knowing I was fully, authentically Ashley.

Join us at 7pm tonight. We have quite a show in store for you. ✨🩷👑
