Ephraim Wheaton Chapter Sons American Revolution Promoting patriotism and preserving American history in the Lansing (MI) area. Pvt. The Pvt.

Ephraim Wheaton was a Revolutionary War Patriot, serving as both a soldier and a musician. He enlisted at North Hampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, on 14 February 1781 for a term of three years. He reported 28 February 1781 for a period of 10 months and one day, and served as a Fifer with Capt Dean's Company, Col Tupper's (10th) Regiment of the Massachusetts Line. Wheaton was appointed Drumm

er 1 Aug 1781 and served again 1 January 1, 1782 for 12 months with the same regiment as a Fifer. He was with Washington's Army at Cornwallis' surrender at Yorktown in 1781 and was discharged in 1784 at West Point, New York. Ephraim Wheaton Chapter SAR Charter was officially approved by the Michigan Society of Sons of the American Revolution (MISSAR) on 19 October 2019. Our Chapter is centralized in the mid-Michigan/state capital city of Lansing. We wish to welcome people to attend our SAR meetings as we’re very proud of our Patriot, as noted above. Our Compatriots are excited about our upcoming events and many activities that we participate in each year with the Michigan and National Societies of the SAR.
