Even with 40+ million followers, Spencer from SB Mowing knew exactly where to donate.

Recently, SB Mowing helped a woman named Debbie who was facing significant health challenges. In addition to transforming her yard and helping raise funds for her through a GoFundMe, Spencer purchased an entire trailer full of household items she could no longer sell herself.

And then he did something that caught our attention:

He donated those items to the Wichita Habitat ReStore.

When someone with a platform as large as Spencer's has countless options for where to give, he chose a place where those donated items could have a second life, supporting affordable housing efforts in the community.

πŸ’š Every donation to a Habitat ReStore helps keep usable items out of landfills while generating funds that support Habitat's mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Whether you're cleaning out a garage, downsizing, renovating, or simply have items you no longer need, consider donating to your local ReStore.

πŸ“¦ Donate.
♻️ Reuse.
🏠 Help build more affordable housing opportunities.

Find a Habitat ReStore near you and give your gently used items a new purpose.

β€οΈπŸ–€πŸ’š Happy Juneteenth!

Today, we honor Juneteenth, the day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

As we reflect on this important day in our nation's history, we're reminded that strong communities are built when everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

At Habitat for Humanity of Michigan, we believe that safe, affordable housing is a foundation for opportunity, stability, and hope. We remain committed to helping create communities where every family has the chance to build a brighter future.

Today, we celebrate freedom, honor those who came before us, and recommit ourselves to building a more equitable tomorrow.

A Habitat Partner Family is a family working toward the dream of homeownership through Habitat for Humanity. Families partner with Habitat by completing financial education, contributing sweat equity alongside volunteers, and purchasing their home through an affordable mortgage.

It's a journey built on hard work, partnership, and the opportunity to create a stable future for themselves and their loved ones.

Meet Wendy Clow, Habitat for Humanity of Michigan's Director of Operations.

Wendy is helping lead the conversation around one of Michigan's biggest challenges: housing affordability.

Recently, Wendy joined housing leaders from across the state at the Mackinac Policy Conference to discuss innovative tools and partnerships that can help more Michigan families achieve homeownership. She highlighted a growing reality facing many working families, earning too much to qualify for assistance programs, yet not enough to overcome the barriers to homeownership.

Through her work at Habitat Michigan, Wendy is committed to finding solutions that expand access to safe, affordable housing and create pathways to stability for families across our state. 🏑

Thank you, Wendy, for being a strong advocate for affordable housing and for helping build a Michigan where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
