We have not been able to have meetings in 2020 because of Covid-19. Just too much risk! But we are hoping to start meetings in January 2021, and if not then, possibly in March. In the meantime, you may call Barb at 517-282-4539 if you have any questions or problems.

We are meeting this Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at 2:00 in the Sparrow Professional Bldg., across from Sparrow Hospital, at 2:00 P.M. Our speaker is from the American Cancer Society, and she will be presenting timely information about cancer, and also the services offered by the ACS. Please join us, new and returning friends!

The Ostomy Association of Greater Lansing will be meeting this Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. in the Sparrow Professional Building, across the street from Sparrow Hospital. We will be meeting this Sunday, Jan. 20, at 2:00 P.M. in the Sparrow Professional Building. Our speaker will inform us about elder abuse and what can be done about it. We will also help any who come with ostomy questions. See you Sunday!

We will meet this Sunday, January 20, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at Sparrow Professional Building in Lansing. The speaker will be covering elder abuse, how to recognize it, what to do about it. Also, bring any ostomy concerns you may have - we will be happy to help you. See you Sunday!

Next Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, we are having a meeting in the Sparrow Professional Building, Room E, at 2:00 P.M. Our speaker will be Sue Arens, a pharmacist at PGPA Pharmacy in Okemos. She will discuss drug interactions, addictions, and more, and she will also be offering FREE FLU SHOTS (with your insurance card). Come out for a great meeting, enjoy seeing friends, and get your flu shot for the season!

Our ostomy support group will be meeting this Sunday, Sept. 16, at 2:00 P.M. in the Sparrow Professional Building. The speaker is Barb Mannino, from Tri-County Office on Aging, and she will be speaking on brain health and some factors that might cause dementia. Please come!

The Ostomy Association of Greater Lansing will have the next support group meeting on Sunday, March 18, at 2:00 P.M., at the Sparrow Professional Building. One of our own members, Aletha Kuenstler, will be speaking about chronic illness. She has experienced it and written a book about it, and she will be sharing some life-changing lessons and coping skills. Aletha has a master's degree in psychiatric and medical surgical nursing and is also a certified social worker. Come to our meeting and learn! Also come to share experiences with others who have experienced ostomy surgery.

Our support group is meeting this Sunday, Jan. 21st, at 2:00 P.M. in the Sparrow Professional Building (across the street from Sparrow Hospital), 2nd floor, Room E. Our special speaker will be David Budde, Sales Specialist with Hollister Ostomy Products. He will update us on new technology, new products, and he will answer all related questions. He services hospitals and home care agencies associated with Sparrow Hospital. Everyone is invited to come and learn something new, and we especially would like to meet new people who have recently had ostomy surgery. Our support group exists to help you!
