For the month of June, Lansford Alive is pleased to spotlight Coal Miners' Bar and Grill as our Business of the Month.

Established in 2017, and located at 13 Center Street in Lansford, Coal Miners’ Bar and Grill is owned by Christopher Clarke. Open seven days a week from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Coal Miners’ stands out as a casual welcoming atmosphere where locals and visitors can enjoy great food, drinks, and entertainment. They offer a full service bar and kitchen, featuring classic American comfort food and daily specials.

Clarke emphasizes how everyone at Coal Miners’ Bar and Grill takes pride in their approach to cooking, to setting a great atmosphere every day, and to making the holidays special for their customers and the community.

“We're big on giving back whether it's through giveaways, events, or helping out wherever we can. At Coal Miners’ Bar and Grill we try to support others and create a friendly, welcoming environment where everyone feels at home.”

Clarke adds that he wishes people knew how much work happens behind the scenes at a place like his.

“We work extremely hard every day, do all of our own shopping, and make it a priority to buy local and use fresh, quality ingredients. We also take pride in giving back to the community whenever we can. It's a big part of who we are.”

When it comes to doing business in Lansford, Clarke says he finds the key to business success is consistency, community support, and adapting to what people enjoy.

“Listening to customers and creating a place they want to come back to is everything. Be prepared to work hard, stay consistent, and get involved in the community.”

Coal Miners’ Bar and Grill regularly runs food and drink specials including their popular $5 Cheesesteak, $1.00 wings on Wednesday, Taco Tuesday, and Clam Night on Saturday.

In sum, Clarke says he hopes people notice and appreciate his connection and commitment to the community.

“We're just a small-town business that works extremely hard every single day. We do everything ourselves, from shopping local to making sure we're using fresh, quality ingredients. We're not a big chain, we're real people putting in real work, and we truly care about customers and our community.”
