The specific purpose and objectives for the Foundation shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

Influence policy decision making by engaging civic leaders and community stakeholders to reduce irresponsible gun use and its devastation in their communities. Promote personal and community safety through an aggressive gun violence agenda. Mobilize and engage minority groups at local, state and national levels. Recruit volunteers and community advocates to advance the interests of the Foundation. Provide developmental opportunities for minority youth specific to gun violence prevention through mentoring and scholarships. Facilitate and participate in training and educational forums that influence the policy making process for reduction of irresponsible use of guns. Obtain financial funding and support to aid in the accomplishment of the Foundations mission.

🌹 Today, we honor Ayana Jazmyn McAllister on what would have been her 28th heavenly birthday. It’s hard to believe that it has been ten years since gun violence took her away from us. Her vibrant spirit and warm heart continue to inspire those who knew and loved her, reminding us of the importance of community, compassion, and resilience.

In her memory, we are dedicated to continuing the fight against gun violence through the Ayana Foundation. This foundation aims to create awareness, provide resources, and support initiatives that prevent gun violence in our communities.

As we celebrate Ayana's life today, we invite you to join us in making a difference. We are asking for a donation of $28—one dollar for each year of her life—to help us further our mission and honor her legacy. Your contribution will go directly towards programs that educate and empower, ensuring that other families do not experience the pain of losing a loved one to violence.

Thank you for your support and for keeping Ayana’s memory alive. Together, we can work towards a safer future. Donations can be made on our website https://ayanamcallister.com or https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/prayer-breakfast-11 🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡 🧡🧡

Wear Orange Day began in 2015 as a way to honor the life of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton, who was tragically killed in Chicago shortly after performing at a presidential inauguration event.

The color orange was chosen because it represents safety and visibility, symbolizing the goal of protecting people from gun violence.

The day serves to raise awareness about gun violence, remember victims, and support prevention efforts across communities in the United States.
