Wm Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens Community Organization Since those initial thoughts, Mr. Stewart A. The official groundbreaking ceremony was held on July 4, 2015.

Mission Statement:
The WM Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens was founded to honor and remember all veterans men and women of the U S Armed forces in the City of Langston and surrounding areas. This Wm Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens will serve as a viable and honorable organization for future veterans and educating the public about the deeds and actions of our veterans. Our Story & Vision
In 2011,

what was once just a thought, an idea of how he might want to recognize and honor military veterans and their service, has now evolved into the very real and impressive Wm Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens. Williams, Founder/Developer and a veteran himself, has worked tirelessly to find a way for so many others, much like himself, to honor our veterans of military service. A gracious thought, a big idea, is now befittingly embodied in this place of respect and honor, worthy of the sacrifice of all veterans, and specifically in honor of veterans from our surrounding local communities.

• The official program for our Community’s 2026 Memorial Day Observance will begin promptly at 11:00am, Monday, May 25h with the -- THEME: OBSERVING 250 YEARS OF AMERICA’S INDEPENDENCE:
Honoring and Remembering: “Those Who Gave Their Last Full Measure Of Devotion!”

• The program will be preceded by “An America 250 Memorial Day March” from Langston University to the WCVMG, led by the Langston University SCIENCE & MATHEMATICS SUMMER CAMP PARTICIPANTS ( High School scholars from throughout the State of Oklahoma) will begin at the IW Young Auditorium at 9:45am. Please join them and bring your best patriotic Spirit!!

• The 10:00am Pastries and Coffee Reception will give attendees an opportunity to tour the Gardens and meet/greet Veterans in attendance.

• The playing of “TAPS” and a Moment of Silence will be observed in recognition of ALL who died in America’s war efforts - - with a Special Calling of the Names and Showing of the Photographs of the most recent Military Service Casualties in the current Iran War.

• We are going to have an Outstanding Keynote Speaker and the Dedication of Memorial Benches!
