Langhorne Rotary

Langhorne Rotary Langhorne Rotary is a local chapter of Rotary International. We serve through hands-on projects, youth programs, and partnerships—while having fun!

Join us 1st & 3rd Thursdays, 12:15–1:30pm at Irish Rover. Email [email protected] with questions. Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of w

orthy enterprise. The Rotary Club of Langhorne has men and woman who continue the ideals of Rotary and follow the Rotary Motto of Service above Self, just as the original members of the Langhorne Rotary did over 60 years ago. Many men and woman of our community have been part of Rotary through the years, contributing time, and resources, to better our community and world, which is a better place because of their dedication. The club continues to support volunteer programs at Wood Services, Quilts for Kids, Adopt a Highway, the Red Cross Homeless Shelter, and the Heart’s Apart program at McGuire AFB that supports families of Air Force Personnel on deployment. Each month from October to May the club honors a Student of the Month. For six of the months the student is from the Neshaminy High School and in November and February a student from the Bucks County Technical High School is recognized. As a result of a generous grant from the estate of Walter Styers and Eugene (Red) Hieber and our own fundraising the club awards scholarships to a number of seniors from local high schools each June. The club has continued to support programs to encourage literacy. The club continues to be involved in a program to provide classroom books in local schools. The club gave each 4th grader in the Neshaminy School district a personal copy of a dictionary. We have also arranged for Spanish/English dictionaries to be taken to Costa Rica.

MEMORIAL DAY MAY BE OVER… BUT THE NEED TO HELP OTHERS CONTINUES

As we head into the start of summer, blood donations often drop — but the need for blood never takes a vacation.

DID YOU KNOW?
Blood cannot be manufactured — it only comes from volunteer donors. Local hospitals rely entirely on people like YOU to help patients in need every single day.

This summer, Langhorne Rotary is inviting our community to step up, lead by example, and make a lifesaving difference at our upcoming Blood Drive.

Whether you’re a regular donor or considering donating for the very first time, every donation matters. Sign up, then share this post and encourage others to join you!

June 29th at the Irish Rover Staion House from 1 pm to 6 pm

Let’s start the summer by giving back to those who may need us most.

Congratulations to Neel Shirwalker, our Langhorne Rotary Student of the Month!
Last week, the Langhorne Rotary Club was honored to recognize Neel Shirwalker for his outstanding achievements and bright future ahead. Neel has earned an impressive 4.5 GPA through his dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. This fall, he plans to attend The College of New Jersey to study Mechanical Engineering — an exciting next step for an exceptional student!

Pictured with Neel is his guidance counselor, Mrs. Laura Tyler, who joined us in celebrating this well-deserved recognition.

We are proud to honor students like Neel who represent the very best of our community and inspire those around them every day.

Please join us in congratulating Neel on this incredible accomplishment and wishing him continued success in the future!

This Memorial Day, Langhorne Rotary pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free. Today, we remember the heroes, support their families, and reflect on the values of service, community, and unity they defended.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, may we also take a moment to remember those who made those moments possible. ❤️🤍💙

Today, the Rotary Club of Langhorne was proud to recognize some truly outstanding students from Bucks County Technical High School during our meeting at the Irish Rover Station House.

Congratulations to Carter Nagel, our Student of the Month! Carter, a student in the Machine Technology program, has excelled both academically and competitively — earning 1st Place in CNC Programming at the SkillsUSA State Competition and 3rd nationally in the National Machining League. Beyond his technical achievements, Carter is actively involved in Drama Club stage crew, Reading Olympics, and the Machine Technology Club. His leadership, creativity, and dedication make him an incredible representative of Bucks County Technical High School.

We also proudly presented the Eugene Hieber Scholarship to Jaidyn New. Jaidyn is a standout student in the Collision Repair program. She has demonstrated remarkable perseverance, confidence, and growth throughout her senior year. She earned 1st Place in the SkillsUSA Collision Damage Analysis District Competition and placed 4th at the state level. In addition, she received Advanced scores on both her NOCTI written and performance assessments. Jaidyn plans to study business in college with the goal of managing or owning a collision repair shop in the future.

In recognition of her selfless service to the Langhorne community, Jaidyn was also awarded one of the Rotary Club of Langhorne’s Walter T. Styer Scholarships.

Congratulations to these exceptional students on their accomplishments and bright futures ahead!
