Northern Lights Arts Council

NLAC sponsors numerous annual events such as musicals, art exhibits, art classes, community band, book discussions, and other events and activities.

NLAC is dedicated to the promotion of cultural arts and humanities by coordinating and providing a variety of events and activities for adults and children of Cavalier County. Northern Lights Arts Council (NLAC) is a nonprofit membership organization, which was incorporated in 1993 to encourage artistic opportunities for the residents of Langdon, North Dakota, and the surrounding communities. A ma

jor accomplishment was the purchase and restoration of the Roxy Movie Theater in 1997. In addition to movies, the theater is the venue for musicals and other community events.

We are looking for adults and high school students to join the choir. Rehearsals will be held Thursday evenings beginning in October, and a Holiday Concert performance is scheduled for December 10.

A late post but wanted to share some photos from the Lion King Kids performance held in July! 🦁🎭 We had such a great time with Summer Arts Stages! Thank you to all the kids who participated in the musical, parents/guardians/sitters for getting the kids to rehearsals and performance, high school volunteers Finley Crockett & Matilda Lawson, Langdon Area Elementary School, Roxy Theater, and the Stages crew!

We are saddened by the loss of Ian. He was a talented musician and we enjoyed listening to his performances with Auto Drive. We send our condolences to his family and friends.
